1981 GMC K1500

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1981 GMC K1500 for your consideration. Originally a 2WD 6-cylinder truck, this example has been modified to house a small block V8 motor, automatic transmission, and 4×4. The two-speed transfer case has a floor mounted hi-lo selector and manual locking front hubs. With the turn of a key, the motor fires up and settles into a smooth idle.

Finished in the General Motors color of Santa Fe Tan, this ’81 GMC has a commanding presence going down the road. It has been lifted and now rides on Raceline wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ tires. Also upgraded were the axles which are now ¾ ton axles. This example originally comes from New Mexico and features a clean doe skin vinyl interior.

These solid and very versatile trucks are in high demand and finding something like this that isn’t all rusted out or in need of significant repairs are getting more difficult to find and locate as time goes on.
