1979 Chevrolet K20 Bonanza 4WD 454 Auto, long bed lifted

Purchased this truck from a guy in AZ where it had spent its entire life. Owned by an older gentleman who used it for camping. Was completely stock when I got it and below is the list of items I have done to it since. One awesome thing I haven’t touched is the original owner mounted a revolver holster on the driver side kick panel. Too cool to remove it.

Specs:

  • 454 Big Block with Edelbrock carb and intake manifold
  • TH400 transmission
  • Factory air conditioning

Mods:

  • 3” Lift Tuff Country Springs (front and rear)
  • Bilstein 5100 shocks
  • Dual Optima Yellowtop Batteries
  • Flex-a-lite electric fans with thermostat control
  • Retrosound radio
  • Doug Thorley headers with Dynomax dual exhaust
  • Edelbrock fuel pump
  • New water pump with new belts
  • American Racing AR172 Baja 17×9” Wheels
  • BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO2 LT285/75R17/E tires with less than 50 miles on them
  • Brothers LED tail lights
  • JW Speaker LED headlights -headlights-model-8700-evo-2-db/
  • Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings
  • Powermaster 150amp alternator

Spare equipment that I never had time to install:

  • Replacement brake master cylinder (didn’t like the surface rust on the one on there, nothing wrong with the existing brake system, just cosmetics)
  • Rear disc brake conversion kit with rotors, calipers, adapter plate, everything needed (just for the hell of it)
  • New front hubs and bearing/seal kits
  • Brothers 6×9” speaker bracket for behind the seat
  • Replacement fuel sender unit

There is a 2nd fuel tank installed on the driver side, but it is not working. The fueld tank and sending unit are brand new. Original owner had an aftermarket tank built for the truck, but at some point the transfer solenoid stopped working which let to rust in the tank. I replaced the tank and all the hardware (mounting straps, sending unit, filter and solenoid with factory), but never spend the time to mod up the filler neck to the opening hatch. For not only the passenger side factory tank is useable until filler neck is mod’d up.
